Celebrating Easter Monday with Sports and Fellowship
Easter is a significant holiday in the Christian faith, celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ. After the solemnity of Good Friday and the joy of Easter Sunday, the following day, known as Easter Monday, is often celebrated in various ways. For the Salem Congregation and the entire Midlands district of the Presbyterian Church of Ghana, Emmaus Day is a day of sports, fellowship, and fun.
This year's Emmaus Day will take place at the Port & Active Life Centre of the University of Leicester, bringing together members of the church and the wider community. The day will be filled with exciting activities, including musical chairs, football, tug of war, and many more. The sports day is an excellent opportunity for people to come together, have fun, and enjoy each other's company.
Sports are not only fun and enjoyable, but they also promote physical health, teamwork, and sportsmanship. The Emmaus Day sports activities will be a chance for members of the church to bond over a shared love of sports and build stronger relationships with one another.
In addition to the sports activities, Emmaus Day will also be a time for fellowship and spiritual reflection. As the day falls within the Easter season, it provides an excellent opportunity for members of the church to come together and reflect on the significance of Easter and the resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Overall, Emmaus Day is an exciting event that brings together members of the Salem Congregation and the wider community to celebrate Easter Monday with sports, fellowship, and fun. It is a time to build stronger relationships, promote physical health, and reflect on the significance of Easter. The day promises to be a memorable one, filled with laughter, joy, and good times for all who attend.
